One of the most popular attractions of Notting Hill area in West London is Portobello Market, famous for its cosmopolitan mix of latest fashion trends and a wide range of colourful goods on offer. It was popularised by Richard Curtis in its 1999 romcom Notting Hill starring Hugh Grant (as a shy English gentleman) and Julia Roberts (as a glamourous American).
This kooky-in-a-charming-way comedy is centred around local stalls, bookshops, and vintage boutiques — how could I possibly resist a little shopping trip?
A fail-proof little black dress from a small independent shop, a real bargain.
Light and fabulously floaty.
Suede elegant shoes with a golden stiletto, my tribute to the current metallic trend. Small satsuma-coloured handbag by Anya Hindmarch, my Treat-Yo-Self last Christmas.
A little combo for a sunny afternoon.
Didn’t I say it is all a bit kooky?

All possible editing mishaps and general goofiness of these photos are purely my fault.
Lovely pictures! I love your dress and your heels!

FYI – the scene at the theatre from Notting Hill that you have the picture at was one of the few things shot on location – it was filmed at the Coronet Theatre.
