Dear Santa,

Considering that I’ve been a good girl all year… I mean, MOSTLY a good girl all year. Well, OFTEN a good girl and MOST of the year… Hmm, sod it, I’ll just buy it myself.

This has been my modus operandi for a long time. Aside from lovely presents I receive every year from my family and friends, I also like to treat myself to a little Me-Gift.

It is the day after Christmas, and I wake up thinking back to the previous three months of searching and shopping, preparing and wrapping. I decide that the time has come to shop for myself.

This year, I opted for one of Miuccia’s creations: Prada Saffiano Lux tote.

Prada handbags combine classy minimalism with ornate and unmistakable trendiness. A great investment piece that shall retain its charm through all the ups and downs of upcoming seasons.

Mine, of course, comes in bright red. Or rossa, as Prada refers to it.

 

Its’ clean lines and structure are very simple, yet the hard saffiano leather is durable and perfectly suitable for an urban lifestyle.

This brand has been a favourite of Miranda Kerr for a long time but she seems to be slightly lily-livered with her colour choices.

Playing it safe, she is.

But I dare you to try red — you will be surprised how easy it is to pull an outfit together with this! It is classic, it is chic, and I am delighted to finally add such an understated bag to my collection.

A simple bag without all of the bells and whistles. I am very proud of my inner Santa this year.
