Day 7 of the #100happydays challenge. I find it difficult to find words to describe my feelings after the performance of the brilliant Russian conductor and violinist Yuri Bashmet and his chamber orchestra at London Barbican. Bashmet is a highly-intelligent and talented musician who made vintage delicate instruments created by Master Antonio Stradivari and donated for the concert by the Royal Academy of Music sound extremely potent, reverberant, and really vulnerable. I am happy today because I realise that by exposing me to classical music from a very early age, my parents showed me the importance of feeding my soul with wholesome matter.

7-й день проекта “100 счастливых дней”. Сложно описать мой восторг после выступления Юрия Башмета и “Солистов Москвы” в лондонском “Барбикане”. В руках Башмета великий альт Страдивари из коллекции Королевской музыкальной академии казался одновременно могущественным и беззащитным. В этот вечер я поняла, насколько признательна родителем за то, что они с раннего возраста и иногда против моей воли приучали меня к классической музыке. Я уже давно не играю на пианино, но до сих способна расчувствоваться с первых аккордов Шостаковича или Шнитке.
