When I first started this blog, I was convinced it will be sympathy-read only by my mum and a few close friends. I imagined them logging in every now and then, browsing through my photos, dropping some encouraging words, and carrying on with their lives. Little did I know that within a year of less-than-consistent — or, let’s face it, hopelessly irregular — blogging, I will be getting regular subscribers, making new friends, attracting over ten thousand viewers, and receiving generous offers of advertising. Pleasantly surprised and with my head spinning, I decided the time had come for me to set a couple of ground rules:
1. No paid reviews or advertising.Integrity is more important. Unless Chanel comes knocking — we all have our price.
2. No blogging about something I don’t truly enjoy.
Simples!
With this prelude in mind, you can be assured that it comes from the heart when I say how much I enjoyed the beautiful evening at Le Meridien Piccadilly for the launch of the delightful Charlotte Posner’s exhibition, organised by Paint Jam London last week! Buzzing crowd, a talented and friendly artist, vibrant paintings, nice food and cocktails — and generally lots of razzle-dazzle EVERYWHERE!
There was even a cocktail specially invented for the launch and aptly named Diamonds Last Forever. Let me just say that it was pink, it was exquisite, and it was delicious — and I am not even a fan of diamonds! Anyway, I’d better share some photos with you before I exceed my quota of the number of exclamation marks per post!!! Oops.

The props.
During the launch, right there and then Charlotte painted the Supernature ring by Solange Azagury-Partridge that was on prominent display and represented one of the pieces that inspire the artist’s works.

The Ring Series is on display at Le Meridien Piccadilly until 31 March 2014.

Don’t forget to register “Shade of Red” as trademark :-). Who knows, may be in the future you will start your own line of clothing and/or cosmetics. )).

I’d love to turn Shade of Red into a brand but I think it would be too ambitious.
