My cousin, who is incredibly clever and lives in Washington, wrote to me the other day with a story about her daughter (my niece Clara). They’d been shopping and bought a pair of shoes for Clara which light up (always wanted a pair of those!). Darling Clara loved her shoes so much that she ended up twirling around in them and singing “Shoes! Shoes! I love shoes!” for the rest of the day. My cousin’s claim was that blood is thicker than water and that Clara inherited her fondness of footwear from me. I admit to having a bit of a reputation amongst my family and friends but is it really wrong to believe that one gets a whole new perspective on life once they had a chance to spend a night twirling around in red (purple, white) shoes? Go on, give it a go — that might only be excusable in spring! Going back to the subject of this blog post — which, admittedly, sounds like a horrid Marmite advert — this week I accessorised my red shoes with a statement jumper (elbow patches rule!) and my well-worn Mulberry Effie. The lipstick is the new frosty red Rihanna for MAC Viva Glam with all proceeds going to the HIV/AIDS foundation. The cherry blossom pictures are here for some context, obviously.
Before I forget: regardless of what I write about, most frequently asked questions are “what are you wearing” and “do you have a link”. To save us all time:
Handbag: Effie by Mulberry — LINK
Shoes: Carlo Pazolini — new store open in Westfield Shopping Centre
Jumper: ASOS — NOW ON SALE, LINK
Dress: Chelsea Girl by River Island
Necklace: Zara
Lipstick: MAC Viva Glam Rihanna — LIMITED EDITION, LINK
Super cute sweatshirt, so cute to have that on the elbows hehee, and how gorgeous are those cherry blossoms!! Glad I clicked on your comment on ATLANTIC PACIFIC’s blog and got led back here to yours. Your blog’s pics and layouts are great too, keep it up! Just followed on GFC and bloglovin’ ❤ Btw, you should check out my newest and possibly one of my best editorials/outfits featuring the Rag & Bone Deep V (no cleavage) sweater, Céline S/S14 runway fringe Aztec woven scarf (for Coachella?), and Phillip Lim debatable sandle/loafer/slingbacks!!! Guaranteed to provoke on a very 'ART' level!

What a cool jumper 🙂 And love a pop of juicy citrus color against gray, my all-time favourite combination (and the only way to get some extra mileage out of my 75% gray wardrobe! :).

Gray is a great canvas, Olesya! My personal favourite is gray with a blot of pink.
