Each of us has their own way to getting what we want. Some prefer to work on their goal steadily, altering their environment bit by bit, others – by whinging a lot. I prefer the combination of both. For the first three days of our arrival to Bergen, I whinged about the rainy and grey town, and on the fourth day, I slept and stayed in bed as long as I could, wishing with every fibre of my body that the weather would finally brighten up and let us see more of Bergen. Turns out, if you whinge and laze around enough, a miracle could happen: in the afternoon, the rain had stopped and the clouds had parted, letting mesmerisingly beautiful rays of sun trickle through. And let me tell you – Bergen in sunshine? Definitely the place to be! If you ever find yourself in this charming little town when it is sunny, take the Fløibanen funicular up the mountain, enjoy the vista from the top, and stroll at a leisurely place back down to the city centre. You might even meet a troll, a witch, or a gorgeous puppy on the way!

Я уже жаловалась на то, какой же Берген дождливый город, но в день нашего отъезда, нам невероятно повезло: низкие тучи расступились, и окружающие Берген горы озарились ярким солнечным светом. Мы поспешили на фуникулер, который ведет на вершину горы Флейен. Здесь со смотровой площадки открывается потрясающий вид на Берген и прилежащий архипелаг. Насладившись видами с горы, не упустите свой шанс случайно встретить тролля, ведьмочку или даже чудесную собачонку – вам стоит лишь медленно начать спускаться с горы пешком по тропинке, которая ведет в центр, и тщательно заглядывать под все пни, кусты и даже скамейки.
