As I come to an end of my blog-travels through the Skiathos and Skopelos islands in Greece, I am thinking of what the recent events in this beautiful country have taught us all — perhaps it is something we have always known deep inside: whatever happens and wherever you are in life, choose cooperation over a stand-off. Choose the path of love and friendship. Regardless of how important it all might seem at the moment, both parties will lose in the long-term unless they learn to work together. For now, if you want to support Greece, go there on holiday! This delightful country will welcome you with its bright colours, amazing food, and endless sunshine. Try local wine. Go crazy with prawn saganaki (my favourite). Swim, love, and laugh. And if in doubt, wear red.
