Almost every woman I know wants to have a bit of Audrey Hepburn in her. An incredibly kind and smart woman, a humanitarian, and a beautiful model, Audrey Hepburn inspired generations of us with her multifaceted personality, hard work, and impeccable style. So when my friend and fellow blogger Neens Bea invited me to view the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London, I gratefully jumped at the opportunity. Well, as high as I could jump in these!
Not to point any fingers but turns out, my friend Neens is a great photographer!
Trafalgar Square.
The exhibition hosts 35 photographs from the private collection of Hepburn’s sons — each photograph unique in its ability to portray Audrey’s personality and stunning beauty. You are not allowed to take any pictures at the actual exhibition but Neens and I did have a little photosession after the show. In each photo, I did, of course, want to at least slightly resemble the glamorous Audrey…
But at some point, I gave up on the idea of ever having even a tenth of her style and suggested we go for lunch. To the Southbank Wahaca, no less!
Where we started with hibiscus flower lemonade and cactus tacos (which are, by the way, delicious!).
Sweet potato and feta taquitos, aka small balls of tastiness and happiness!
And, certainly, an extra helping of rice and beans.
Here is a little tip: if you order churros for desert (and I see no reason why you shouldn’t), do order a choice of both chocolate and caramel sauces. You never know what you might feel like, it’s all I’m saying!
With a cup of strong espresso and some more posing at the end!
And I said what about “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.?… 😀
Audrey and you look both wonderful, great idea and very well captured… 🙂
